We are Commercial and Business Lending (CBL)

  Gordon G. Ledingham
Partner & Executive Vice-President

Mr. Gordon Ledingham formed Commercial and Business Lending (CBL) in 1999 with Jason T. Okuhama after leaving Bank of America's Community Development Lending unit. Prior to that, Mr. Ledingham was a Credit Support Officer at Bank of America Commercial Real Estate Services in Honolulu, and worked in REO/residential foreclosure and accounting at Honfed Bank.

As an independent broker, he has focused on lending to small businesses for commercial and industrial real estate. This unusual blend of skills has allowed him to finance startups and non-profits, special-use properties, high-tech industries, and single-purpose equipment. Industries financed in Hawaii include agriculture, tourism, high-technology, R&D, education, retail and land development. With this unusual blend of experience, he has been able to circumvent conventional financing restrictions and overcome complex loan closing and funding problems by utilizing various financing methods and alternative loan programs. By providing full-service professional loan brokerage with access to a myriad of debt and quasi-equity (tax credits and grants), he has facilitated commercial loans for investors and/or real estate concerns with special circumstances that would not have otherwise qualified for financing.

Recent projects include a new hotel in American Samoa, floating fishing lodge in Alaska, water park and family entertainment center, ag-zoned residential land development with tree farms, and alternative energy facilities.
